For Professionals

Registration is open for the 2027 Baby Bare learning cohort in Minnesota

**Primary pathway: 2027 Year‑Long Learning Cohort (3 in‑person modules in Minnesota)**

Baby Bare Professional Training is an embodied, movement‑based training for professionals and caregivers who want to understand how early infant movement and the nervous system shape lifelong learning and wellbeing.

Over three weekend modules in 2027, you’ll learn:

- How the brain “wires up” through early movement and sensory experiences
- The **Baby Bare Infant Sequence** as an alternative to rigid milestone charts
- The **six developmental movement patterns** that underlie attention, coordination, emotional regulation, and learning
- What **primitive reflexes** are, how to observe and assess them, and how retained reflexes can show up as attention and learning challenges, anxiety, and sensory concerns
- How to help infants, children, and adults safely **revisit foundational movements** to support re‑organization of the nervous system

You’ll leave with a clearer clinical lens and concrete tools you can bring into your work with:

- Infants and expecting families
- Children and teens with learning, sensory, or regulation challenges
- Adults whose nervous systems are still carrying “unfinished business” from early development

You will receive plenty of practical ideas and applications you can use right away, but they are designed to work with underlying developmental and nervous system patterns, not just add another layer on top of symptoms.

Join us in beautiful Minnesota in 2027

From Support to Transformation: A New Clinical Paradigm

Baby Bare Professional Training

As professionals and caregivers, we’re dedicated to helping children navigate the world. We use vital tools like weighted vests for sensory processing, fidgets for focus, and classroom modifications for learning delays. These accommodations provide essential support and have immense value.

But what if there was more?
What if, alongside these supportive strategies, we had a way to address more of the root cause?

Baby Bare Professional Training is an invitation to look beneath the surface of behavior and learning to find the neurological “unfinished business” that may be holding a child – or an adult – back.

The Science of Reorganization

The human nervous system is organized via movement. Developmental Movement Therapy works because it revisits the specific early movement sequences that were originally responsible for “wiring” the brain.

By returning to these foundational patterns, we offer the nervous system a second chance to reorganize and re‑wire itself from the bottom up, creating a more stable platform for future learning and regulation.

An Enlivening, Collective Experience

This training is unique because we believe the best way to deepen your understanding of movement is by moving. Each module offers a balance of intellectual and physical learning.

There is something deeply inspiring and enlivening about gathering with a group of people who are as fiercely devoted to children and families as you are. You will move, learn, and grow alongside a community of peers, trading the isolation of clinical practice for a shared vitality.

You’ll leave not just with a new clinical lens, but with a renewed sense of inspiration.

The Professional Pathway: Three Integrated Modules

Our curriculum is a tiered journey. While each module offers profound insights on its own, they build upon one another to create a comprehensive mastery of a “bottom‑up” approach.

Module 1: The Baby Bare Sequence & The Foundation of Wellness

Traditional milestone charts are limited and can often lead to confusion or unnecessary pressure for parents. Module 1 introduces the Baby Bare Infant Sequence – an alternative framework that prioritizes the sequence of movement over rigid chronological timelines.

  • The Goal
Understand how early movement sets the stage for school readiness and optimal nervous system development.

  • The Takeaway
This is the “meat and potatoes” for anyone working with infants and expecting families. You’ll gain a wealth of language and tools to help parents support their child’s natural pace.

Don’t work with infants? Not to worry. You will deepen your understanding of human development and learn practical strategies to support the bodies you work with, whatever their age.

Module 2: The Six Developmental Patterns

Every sophisticated human action – from dancing and sports to playing an instrument – is built upon six core developmental movement patterns.

  • The Goal
A deep dive into the six connections that organize the human body.

  • The Experience
This module is part personal practice and part clinical training. Because we explore these connections in our own bodies, students often report profound personal shifts in their own regulation and ease of movement.

  • The Takeaway
Learn how to help babies, children, and adults reorganize their bodies for more joy and ease in cognitive, emotional, and physical pursuits.

Module 3: Primitive Reflexes & Neurological Integration

In our final module, we explore the fundamental “software” of the nervous system.

  • The Goal
Deepen your understanding of primitive reflexes and their role in long‑term well‑being.

  • The Takeaway
Learn what these reflexes are, how to observe and assess for retained reflexes, and how to use movement to support their integration – clearing the path for higher‑level learning and emotional regulation in both children and adults.

Why the Baby Bare Method?

The beauty of this training is its universality. While our focus is often on the child, the principles of Developmental Movement Therapy are also a powerful tool for adult mental health and nervous system regulation.

Whether you are a pediatrician, OT, PT, mental health provider, educator, infant care provider, midwife, doula or another helping professional, this work gives you a deeper, lens on development and regulation that you can bring directly into your practice.
