Natural Therapy for Anxiety, ADD/HD, Learning Challenges,Emotional Regulation and Sensory Concerns
At Sage Education & Therapy, we support the nervous system from the very beginning. Whether you are seeking help for a child navigating sensory challenges or you are an adult looking for a deeper sense of grounding, our work is designed for ages 0–100.
Using Developmental Movement Therapy and primitive reflex integration, we bridge the gap between early physical foundations and how we move through the world today. With over 30 years of experience, we provide a somatic compliment to traditional talk therapy—offering a path to peace that starts within the body.
In-person services available in the Twin Cities.
Sensational starts begin with Baby Bare Welcome visits. These can be booked anytime during pregnancy to get you up to speed on the Baby Bare Infant Movement Sequence. Some families also like to wait until they have their bundle in arms to learn important play positions and techniques to make sure baby is growing a strong brain and body from the bottom-up! Whenever you want to start, we recommend bringing baby in several times before the first birthday.Â
Developmental Movement Therapy is wonderful for children experiencing a wide range of attention and learning challenges including anxiety and sensory concerns. DMT addresses the origin of these often puzzling symptoms by revisiting early nervous system development and supporting any unfinished business that may be hindering the joy and ease your child deserves to feel in their body!Â
Yes, you can come too! If you’ve talked it all out and still feel 'stuck,' a Somatic approach rooted in Developmental Movement Therapy might be the shift you are looking for. Whether you are looking to compliment your talk therapy work or looking for a fresh new approach, you are welcome here. Expect to be supported to move at your own pace as you and I link your developmental history to your present-day resilience.
For children we do a two part intake process. The first appointment is for the clinical assessment, this looks like fun movement activities and your child should be dressed in comfortable clothing that they can move freely in. You are welcome to be present for this session and it will last 40-45 minutes.Â
The second session typically scheduled a few days later is for the adults only. This is the time to share more about your child, learn more about how I work and go over assessment results and a treatment plan. This session is 50-55 minutes and can be done virtually but in person is always encouraged whenever possible.Â
The cost for both appointments and your paperwork is $340.Â
We do not do 3rd party billing, all services are paid by clients directly at the time of delivery. Clients are provided a coded statement for services that can be submitted for reimbursement from their insurance providers.Â
Yes! Many clients use their health saving account to may for services.Â
