Developmental Movement for Therapists: Introduction to Primitive Reflexes

Interested in deepening your understanding of nervous system development?

Join us for this live and in person opportunity to explore primitive reflexes and their role in optimal well being. 

In this introductory training you will:

  • Understand primitive reflexes in the context of mental health
  • Be able to assess clients for the presence of retained reflexes
  • Learn interventions to support integrating primitive reflexes. (Interventions include hands off and hands on variations to suit your practice.)

*This introduction will focus on two reflexes; Fear Paralysis and Moro.

About your instructor: 
Stephanie Johnson has been studying Developmental Movement for 35 years, beginning as a modern dancer, ending as a Somatic Psychotherapist with an enjoyable 10 year spell as a dance educator in the middle somewhere! She is renowned for her ability to spin even the most complex concepts into simple, bite sized ideas for easy digestion by students and clients world wide. When not teaching she is in practice at Sage Education and Therapy in Minneapolis supporting people of all ages to find more ease and joy in their bodies, hearts and minds. Stephanie is the author of Baby Bare: A bottom up approach to growing strong brains and bodies and creator of Healing Movements for Kids an online offering for parents with kids ages 3-12.
